MASTER GURU ABBAS
Master Guru Abbas Hussain is a leading authority in Silat martial arts and self defence and has been training martial arts for over 32 years and teaching professionally for 12 years. He is the highest ranking authorised Silat Master Guru for Silat Sendeng internationally outside Malaysia. You will learn from a seasoned expert and receive in depth knowledge and quality training, helping you in your development to make your techniques work and how to teach them in the system.
Also as a security conflict management trainer and consultant holding teaching qualifications, you will be taught how to teach. Guru Abbas will also offer First Aid training, coaching training, SIA training and leadership training.
His background as a Met Police officer has given him vast experience of what works effectively in a self defence situations and how you apply use reasonable force within the law.
THE LATE GRANDMASTER TUAN GURU HAJI JAMAL
The passing of Haji Hamid Hamzah was a great loss to Sendeng as a whole. One of his main students who learnt the combative art from childhood is Guru Haji Jamal Shahidan an undefeated master who fought with this art in the civil war against the Malay Communists and also defeated many other master’s challenges from other systems and taught the Malay special forces. Haji Jamal also carries the lineages of Sendeng and Kuntao Malaka from both of his Grandfathers and is of the Bugis warrior lineage.
Silat Sendeng is the Martial Art of the Nusantara Muslim warriors from ancient times. Developed over hundreds of years and is a tested art. Its renowned for being swift and powerful. Inner power and self development of the art is based on Islamic esoteric with emphasis placed on Ikhlaaq and Adab to maintain good self control. Sendeng has a proven lineage and was brought to Malaysia by Guru Mamat in the 1800’s from Indonesia. The bugis warriors used this art to win many naval and land campaigns. Sendeng is a treasure art, versatile using angles, speed, pressure points, striking and grappling. This Art has been taught and passed to Guru Abbas by Guru Hj Jamal personally over a period of many years also having lived and trained with him in Malaysia.
